Ruan helps brokers move from reactive to strategic. From ‘just surviving’ to building legacies. His approach blends accountability, behavioural insight, and deep operational experience - always tailored, always real. Ruan landed on Aussie shores in 2005 with a South African accent, a work ethic that wouldn’t quit, and a clear goal — to build something meaningful in the world of finance.
He didn’t waste time.
Within his first two years in business, Ruan ranked in Australia’s Top 100 Mortgage Brokers. From there, he built two award-winning mortgage broking businesses: one in regional Gladstone (Home Loans Etc), and one in metropolitan Brisbane (Time Home Loans). Both became known for their results, reputation, and relentless focus on people.

Through it all, Ruan learned that success isn’t a fluke — it’s a formula.
And in 2021, he founded Success & Broker to help other brokers build theirs.
Australian born, Kylie, met Ruan during her three and a half year teaching stint in ye old London town, and has never looked back. He ticked every box — tall, dark and handsome…and not to mention extremely loyal, driven, giving, and loving. Marrying in South Africa, they returned to Kylie’s hometown of Gladstone to start building their life together.
Kylie is the yin to Ruan’s yang, the white to his black, the tequila to his olive. During the early days of their first business, Kylie would teach her Primary School students during the day and play secretary for Ruan at night.
Discovering hands-on applications for teaching the curriculum was her passion in the classroom as it encouraged her students to take charge of their own learning and expand their natural curiosity; providing a safe space for growth encouraged them to find their voice and build trust in their own abilities - this philosophy is the backbone of the Success & Broker community.
Giving birth to Kyan and Minka fulfilled her dream of becoming a mum and to date is her greatest role. Family is her everything. Being happy is her everything. This sneaker-loving, lover of fashion and words, enjoys reading books penned by Cecilia Ahern, JoJo Moyes, and Josephine Moon (just to name a few), and is obsessed with Schitt’s Creek.
Ryan Devillers is passionate about helping business owners step back from the daily grind to see the bigger picture. With a talent for turning data-driven insights into practical growth strategies, he works closely with brokers and business leaders to build structure, clarity, and momentum in their businesses.
Having lived across three continents, Ryan brings a global perspective to his work while staying grounded in his Brisbane base. His focus is on small and owner-operated businesses, where coaching and structure can create life-changing impact.
For Ryan, business should be a vehicle that enables people to enjoy their lives — not something that consumes them. At Success & Broker, he channels this belief into his role as Head of Growth, empowering brokers to build sustainable businesses that serve both their clients and their own ambitions.
A Melbourne boy through and through, Angelo is a mad AFL supporter and, tragically, a lifelong St Kilda fan: ‘Success has been painfully elusive but hope springs eternal that I’ll one day see the Saints lift that long-awaited premiership.”
Away from footy (perhaps because of his Italian heritage), Formula 1 is another passion. Angelo’s loyalty naturally lies with Ferrari but he would also love to see Oscar Piastri winning – “In 2019 I was lucky enough to witness a famous Ferrari at Monza, their home track, a moment I’ll never forget!”
Weekends are about slowing down: a late breakfast at our local café, good coffee (has to be a double espresso) and quality time with his wife and son, reflecting (a little) on the week that was and what’s next. Angelo’s favourite movie is The Godfather – it’s no wonder he and Ruan get along 😊
Professionally, he has enjoyed a wonderful journey in the mortgage-broking industry, driven by a simple purpose — to help others and make a difference. In 2002, alongside two business partners, he co-founded Acceptance Finance, which became the perfect platform to do exactly that. For 20 years, he was part of one of Australia’s most successful mortgage-broking businesses, helping guide their team and, most importantly, supporting clients to achieve lifelong goals.
Today, that same fire still burns for Angelo, just within a slightly smaller business, continuing to focus on meaningful work, trusted relationships, and making a genuine impact.
